REVIEWS

quote Hong Kong atmosphere. The pricing was disproportionate to the dishes. The duck and noodles was good value and good wok hay. Salt and pepper prawns with shells had a good flavour. The stewed pork dish with taro had good flavour. The combination noodles was a bit pricy relative to the duck noodles. They could’ve flavoured it more and had more ingredients in it. Solid!

quote Enjoyed my first yumcha in New Zealand here and it’s worth coming back. We ate at 3PM so it was quiet but everything we ordered was superb, specially the siew mai, chee chong fun and BBQ pork pastry! Service was quick, no hassle.

quote My colleague and I went here for yum cha recently. It's been ages since either of us had been here. I've been here a few times but this was awhile ago. It was a nice change although a bit of a trek from the city but there aren't a lot of good yum cha options in the city. Order was: pork buns, pan fried turnip cake, egg tarts, sticky rice wrapped in Lotus leaf, congee, pork dim sum, green tea (of course). The highlight for me was the sticky rice and I have to say that it was probably the best I've tried. So delicious. I would go back and order something else instead of the turnip cake as I wasn't a fan and everything else was alright. Didn't really like the table assigned to us but suppose there aren't a lot of two seaters at a yum cha spot. Good location once you remember to use the side entrance on York Street.

quote Have been here a number of time. Just had lunch with my family a couple of days ago. The restaurant was pleasant and sitting was comfortable. Not too crowded this day. The service was friendly and efficient. Good portion of food and taste was good. A good place for yum cha. Recommended if you are around the area and looking for a place for yum cha.

quote Cross path any times but didn't venture in. This weekend, I went twice and got a decent sample of their dishes. The service is reasonable, seems slightly bigger portion than others. Taste wise, quite flavourful and isn't salty or has much Msg. Reasonable cost and they are between 8 - 9 per dish. However, service isn't that great and constantly waiting for food. Some improvements is necessary. Do remember that likely after 1. 30pm, you need to order what you want as the cart sort of stop once they finish selling (didn't know it and no one came around to tell us). However, be warned that if you're ordering any takeaway fry noodles, ask the price as my friend was charges $33 for a Singapore fried noodles takeaway in the standard takeaway container (we think its way overcharged). Also I called to try to book a table but the lady says no point as when you arrive, if there aren't any table, you have to wait anyway. The good thing is the wait is no more than 10 mins for both days I went. Few pics attached for ref.
